On 11 May 2012, I joined Singapore’s first Walkabout Singapore event organised by Kristine Lauria who brought Walkabout from New York City to Singapore. “Like Walkabout NYC,” Kristine says, “Its aim is to put Singapore’s vibrant tech scene on the map.” This event helps aspiring entrepreneurs to inspire each other and share tools of the trade of the growing generation of entrepreneurs with the notion of celebrating the technological and entrepreneurial culture in Singapore. Last week, fifty-two tech companies opened their doors to the public, in a citywide open house. Most of them resides in Blk 71 Ayer Rajah Crescent where it is known to be a hotbed for tech startups.
