@Work visit to EMC
     
 

Another exciting @Work visit to EMC on 6 July 2012 awed the group of students from NTU, NUS and TP. Getting to EMC’s premises at Changi was a little far for the students studying in the west, but it was all paid off with the insights we’ve gained from their laboratory. As we all know, EMC is a leading provider of storage hardware solutions that promote data recovery and improve cloud computing.

But what is more interesting is that their E-Lab conducts the industry’s most rigorous interoperability testing. You just have to be there to see if for yourself.

HP Labs Teachers Learning Journey
     
 

As part of Infocomm@Work, we organized the Inaugural Teacher’s Learning Journey to HP Labs! Teachers became students as they were treated to a “school excursion” at HP Labs! Six secondary school teachers took time from their busy schedules shaping young minds to attend this interesting and informative talk by HP representatives.

HP Labs is the global exploratory and advanced research group for Hewlett-Packard (HP), an American multinational information technology corporation. HP labs is segmented into 2 two different labs, namely The Service Platform Lab and The Applied Cloud Computing Lab. The former seeks to advance cloud computing through exploratory and in-depth research while the latter applies the new research to real-world situation.
