The Infocomm Singapore Youth Networking Conference, or inSYNC for short, was held at the School of Science and Technology Singapore from 30 May to 1 June. The event brought together 80 secondary school students to discuss pertinent issues in Infocomm clubs in their schools and the future of Infocomm.

Youth Infocomm Day 2011: Event coverage
     
 

If I can describe 2011’s Youth Infocomm Day in one word, it will be with the word ‘FUN’ (all in caps)! Stepping into the event venue, I was greeted by life size standees of myself and my fellow superheroes (which looked good if I could say so myself)!

The next thing I noticed was the students buzzing around. Everyone was moving from booth to booth, checking out the various projects done by the various schools to decide whom to cast their votes for the National Infocomm Club Awards 2011 (NICA 2011).

Kicking off the programme proper, Ms Grace Fu, Senior Minister of State for Information, Communications and the Arts, spoke to the crowd of almost 500 students and teachers, encouraging everyone to continue developing their talent in infocomm. Ms Fu also launched the “Can’t Live Without Tech” contest.
