Can’t Live Without Tech is an online contest co-organized by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (“IDA”) and IDM Chapter of Singapore Computer Society (“SCS”) for passionate students to express their appreciation and love for everything infocomm in video form. What is the duration of the Contest?
Contest submission begins on 11 November 2011 at 1200 hours SGT and ends on 10 February 2012 at 1200hrs hours SGT. IDA and SCS reserve the right to extend the deadline of the Contest, if required.

Who is eligible to take part?
• A Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident who is studying full-time in a Singapore schools, or
• A foreigner who is currently studying full-time in Singapore for at least six months with a valid Student Visa.
If you are 18 years old and below, you will need to submit the parental consent form available here.

How can I join?
Create an up to one (1)-minute long video that showcases the importance of technology in your life and upload it onto YouTube before submitting your entry via the Submission Form. Before you submit your entry, please ensure you have read, understood and agree to abide by all the Terms & Conditions.
Do take note that your video must meet the following requirements:
• Recorded in Video format.
• Recorded in English, Mandarin, Malay or Tamil (subtitles are compulsory for videos that are not submitted in English).
• Must not exceed more than one(1)-minute

Are group entries allowed?
You may have more than one person involved in production of the video but only one participant will be entitled to the prize.

Can I submit more than 1 video?
Yes you may but only 1 video will be selected for the finals.
7.
How are entries short-listed?
The short-listing of qualifying entries will be based on the criteria below:
• Judges – 70%
• Public – 30%
The judging criteria to shortlist the finalists are based on the criteria below:
• Creativity and Content: 45%
• Entertainment Value: 25%
• Production Value: 20%
• Aesthetics: 10%

How will I know if I win?
The finalists will be notified by email or phone by March, and will be invited to attend an awards ceremony in April for the winners’ announcement.

How else can I participate in the contest if I’m not submitting any videos?
You can vote for your favourite entries from now to 10 February 2012, 1200 hours SGT. You may vote once for the same entry and up to an unlimited number of entries.
