Information Security Director

Occupation Description
Primary Purpose
Accountable directly to the CIO or CISO. Responsible for information security policy development, compliance, investigations and information protection

Responsibilities

Provide expertise and guide the administration of security tools that control and monitor information security, including security intrusion detection system
Manage and implement risk assessment activities to establish potential security threats and vulnerabilities
Direct disaster recovery/contingency plans to support and enable business continuity in the event of a security breach
Design and implement information security structures to support the data security needs of systems being developed
Participate in overseeing 24x7 support for information security in production systems as necessary

Requirements

6-8 years experience in managing IT projects
Possess strong knowledge and understanding of information security concepts and technologies
Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
