Network Administrator

Occupation Description
Primary Purpose
Administer the network and provide user and hardware support to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and prioritise the resolution of problems associated with a set of operational policies
  2. Maintain the networks systems and software so that they are in optimal operational condition
  3. Monitor the performance of the network and monitor the efficiency
  4. Provide first level help desk support to resolve network problems within agreed service standards
  5. Assist in the execution of a disaster recovery plan to minimise the impact of technical problems relating to networks
  6. Assist in managing the efficiency and operational effectiveness of the support team
Requirements
  • 0-2 years experience in administering local area networks as well as a sound knowledge of personal computers/workstations or similar information technology function
  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electronics or Computing)
