RF Optimisation Engineer

Occupation Description
Primary Purpose
Plan, design and manage the technical planning of RF networks. Lead a team of Engineers to ensure optimal network performance

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for RF design, tuning, evaluate wireless systems/technologies to achieve optimal performance for mobile networks.
  2. Manage a team to perform radio network optimisation, capacity planning and statistical analysis.
  3. Drive the establishment and fulfillment of radio Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  4. Develop documentation to improve processes with other engineers.
  5. Work with different departments such as Operations, marketing and customer services.
  6. Support regional activities particularly in the area of radio planning and optimisation
  7. Perform RF test measurements and other drive test tools
  8. Analyse drive test results using post-processing tools
  9. Plan and rollout the phases of cell sites to ensure best quality mobile network in conjunction with vendor and RF team members
  10. Carry out site hunting and surveys on buildings and towers to select the best locations:
    1. Analyse statistics collected from the network to ensure the quality of the BTS cell sites
    2. Perform daily RF optimisation activities
    3. Perform statistical analysis and monitor radio network performance to ensure operational BTS cell sites meet government standards
Requirements
  • Possess a degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
  • Preferably with at least 3 years' experiences within the telecommunication industry. Familiar with various mobile systems will be an added advantage
