The Integrated Infocomm Scholarship ("IIS") enables outstanding 'O' level achievers to pursue infocomm-related diploma and degree courses from polytechnic through to university. From pursuing academic excellence to gaining relevant exposure through industry work attachments with leading corporations, your exciting learning experiences will leave you charged up and ready for the infocomm world.

Benefits

The scope of the IIS programme covers two main areas – infocomm studies at the polytechnic and university level.

(I) Polytechnic Level

  • Full polytechnic tuition fees at a local polytechnic for infocomm-related courses
  • 1 overseas and / or multiple local attachment(s) of up to 6 months infocomm-related jobs during your course of study, covering the following:
    • Monthly attachment allowance
    • Settling-in allowance (Overseas attachment only)
    • Warm clothing allowance (Overseas attachment only)
    • Economy-class return airfare (Overseas attachment only)
    • Insurance & medical checkup (as required)
  • Computer and annual allowances

(II) Advance to University

IIS scholars will have three possible options to pursue infocomm-related degree courses at university level.

Option 1 - Continue under IIS

  • Full university tuition fees at a local university at National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore Management University (SMU), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) or Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) for infocomm-related degree courses
  • Local internship opportunities in an infocomm-related job of up to 6 months during course of study, including monthly attachment allowances
  • Funding to attend developmental courses
  • Computer and annual allowances

Option 2 – Apply for National Infocomm Scholarship (NIS)

  • Alternatively, IIS scholars can also apply for the NIS programme for sponsorship of their university studies. If IIS scholars are successfully selected for NIS, the terms and conditions of NIS will apply accordingly.

Option 3 – Self-Sponsored University Studies

  • IIS recipients can also choose to read an infocomm-related degree at any university of their choice at their own expense. 

Service Commitment

Successful applicants will be required to:

  • Read an infocomm-related course at any of one of the five polytechnics in Singapore
  • Read & graduate with an infocomm-related degree at university level thereafter
  • Serve a 3-year bond in any infocomm-related job in any organisation, as approved by IDA.

Application closes on 1st March annually.
