The Integrated Infocomm Scholarship (“IIS”) offers bright ‘O’ level students an exciting path into the world of infocomm from polytechnic through to university. Along the journey, scholars pursuing their infocomm studies with IIS will benefit from valuable industry attachments with major corporations locally and overseas.
Who Can Apply?
‘O’ level students interested in studying infocomm-related courses.
Benefits
The scope of the IIS programme covers 2 main areas – infocomm studies at the polytechnic and university level.
(I) Polytechnic Level
Full polytechnic tuition fees at a local polytechnic for infocomm-related courses- 1 overseas and / or multiple local attachment(s) of up to 6 months in infocomm-related jobs during your course of study, covering the following:
- Monthly attachment allowance
- Settling-in allowance (for overseas attachment only)
- Warm clothing allowance (for overseas attachment only)
- Insurance & medical checkup (as required)
- Economy-class return airfare (for overseas attachment only)
- Annual allowance
- One-off computer allowance
(II) University Level
IIS scholars will have 2 possible options to pursue infocomm-related degree courses at university level.
Option 1 – Continue under IIS
- Full university tuition fees at a local university (i.e., NUS, NTU, SMU) for infocomm-related degree courses
- Local internship opportunities in an infocomm-related job of up to 6 months during course of study, including monthly attachment allowances
- Funding to attend developmental courses
- Annual allowance
- One-off computer allowance
Option 2 – Apply for National Infocomm Scholarship (NIS)
- Alternatively, IIS scholars can also apply for the NIS programme for sponsorship of their university studies. If IIS scholars are successfully selected for NIS, the terms and conditions of NIS will apply accordingly.

Service Commitment
Successful applicants will be required to:
- Read an infocomm-related course at any of one of the 5 polytechnics in Singapore
- Read & graduate with an infocomm-related degree at university level thereafter
- Be bonded to IDA for 3 years, but to serve bond in any infocomm-related job in any organization, as approved by IDA.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident
(2) Possess outstanding ‘O’ Level results
(3) Have a good Co-Curricular Activities (“CCA”) record
(4) Possess a strong interest in the infocomm industry.
