Security Administrator

Occupation Description
Primary Purpose
Implement, upgrade, monitor and promote information security measures for computer systems and networks
 
Responsibilities
  1. Monitor, evaluate and maintain log-on accounts and passwords for network users
  2. Monitor and analyse system access logs
  3. Install and configure hardware and software designed to enhance system security
  4. Assess on-line systems including on-line databases and internet web pages to ensure they comply with security standards
  5. Report any security threats and breaches and promote system security throughout the organisation
Requirements
  • 0-2 years experience in PC/LAN support, mainframe systems or server environment with exposure to IT security and security technologies
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
