Technical Support Engineer

Occupation Description
Primary Purpose
Handle calls escalated by the helpdesk or data centre operator. Provide 2nd level, potentially on-site support.

Responsibilities
  1. Simulate failures for further analysis of failing device
  2. Implement operation & maintenance solution in-time and effectively to fulfil customers' requirement and solve technical issue
  3. Construct and maintain up-to-date problem database to ensure accurate and sufficient information for maintenance & troubleshooting
  4. Perform on-site survey
  5. Install, configure and upgrade hardware and software for optimal performance
  6. Perform acceptance testing of installed/upgraded equipment
  7. Induct and train users on using and optimising hardware/software applications
Requirements
  • 3 years in a similar field
  • Able to speak clear and fluently
  • Good interpersonal and customer servicing skills
  • Good understanding of PC hardware configuration
  • Diploma or Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
