The Techno Strategist Programme provides funding support for professionals to acquire domain knowledge through training courses, including examinations to attain industry recognized certifications.
In addition, the programme provides funding support for education service providers to deliver hands-on, practical learning workshops for professionals to acquire domain knowledge and infocomm applications.

Benefits
Success applicants to the Techno Strategist Programme can obtain funding support for:
(1) Training Course and Examination to Attain Certification
- Up to 50% of the nett payable course and examination fee capped at S$3,000 per trainee who is a Singapore Citizen
- Up to 25% of the nett payable course and examination fee capped at S$1,500 per trainee who is a Singapore Permanent
(2) Examination to Attain Certification Only
- Up to 50% of the nett payable examination fee capped at S$500 per trainee who is a Singapore Citizen
- Up to 25% of the nett payable examination fee capped at S$250 per trainee who is a Singapore Permanent Resident
The Techno Strategist Programme does not support Goods & Services Tax (GST), registration and membership fees, rebates, incentives, discounts or any training grants offered by the education service providers, testing centres or any other organisations in relation to the endorsed courses and certifications.

Service Commitment
For Course and Certification Fees Support,
For Certification Fee Support,
- The trainee must pass all examinations required by the certification within 12 months from the commencement date of the first examination.
All claims for CITREP disbursement must be submitted to IDA within three (3) months
from completion date of the last examination or final post-training assessment.
Late
submissions will not be accepted. Applications with
incomplete supporting documents will be rejected for processing.

Eligibility Criteria
For employers and professionals, key eligibility criteria for TSP course and certification funding support are as follows:

a. |
Only training courses and certifications endorsed under the stipulated TSP term will be supported. |
| |
b. |
Trainee must be a Singapore citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident. |
| |
c. |
Trainee must meet the admission criteria set by the Course Provider or Certification Awarding Body for the endorsed course and/or certification. |
| |
d. |
For organisation-sponsored trainees, the sponsoring organisation must be incorporated or registered in Singapore. |
| |
e. |
Local Government Agencies and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL) cannot be the sponsoring organisations. Employees of these organisations can however qualify for the Techno Strategist Programme under the self-sponsored category. |

| For education service providers, key eligibility criteria for TSP course and certification endorsement are as follows: |
| |
a. |
The course provider must be registered in Singapore. |
| |
b. |
To seek course endorsement, the course should have a minimum duration of 3 days, and should not exceed 12 months to complete the entire training, certification and/or assessment. For certification endorsement, the duration to complete the examination(s) required for the certification roadmap should not exceed 12 months. |
| |
c. |
For non-certifiable courses, the course must have some post-course assessment, test, and/or project to test the trainees’ understanding. |
| |
d. |
The course and/or certification can be conducted on a full-time or part-time basis. |
| |
e. |
There should be positive track records or feedback from trainees, testifying the course provider's training effectiveness. |
| |
f. |
The course and/or certification should be sustainable and offered to the public for a reasonable period of time. |
| |
g. |
The course and/or certification should be conducted locally. |
| |
h. |
The course and/or certification is not supported under other training incentive scheme(s). |
| |
i. |
The course and/or certification provider must have adequate resources to manage the training administration, assessment / examination, record maintenance and communication on TSP. |
| |
j. |
New courses and/or certifications may be considered on a case-by-case basis. |

Application Procedure
All course endorsement and claim applications must be submitted online via the online system known as Infocomm Competency Management System (ICMS). Upon successful submission of online applications, the applicants must submit the supporting documents to IDA.
